Jan Lebenstein was born in 1930 in Brzesc Litewski, Poland, studied at the faculty of Fine Arts at the ASP in Warsaw, under the supervision of Prof. A. Nacht - Samborski. Since 1959 he lived in Paris. He created, among others, cycle Axial Figures - drawning and painter compositions with central placed vertical figure of people. Artist died in 1999 in Cracow.
