A Riveting Story, December 29, 2004 Reviewer: Elaine from FL This is one of those books you don't want to put down until you have finished reading every page. And then you want more! I understand a sequel is in the works.
Martin's vivid characters are set against a landscape of not only Polish but European turmoil, brilliantly developing both the emotional and political aura of the era.
The twists and turns of plot, while sometimes predicable, never fail to intrigue the reader. It's a book to read, enjoy and remember for a long while.
