Beniowski: Set in Podolia and the Crimea at the time of the Confederation of Bar. The protagonist is a Polish nobleman modeled on a Hungarian nobleman whose popular memoirs were published in 1791. The poem tells the story of a poor, carefree young man who travels across the country and meets different people, many of them patterned on historical persons. The story serves as a pretext for a multi-layer poetic game, the narrator, speaking with the poet's voice, its true protagonist. He comments on, changes and parodies the story, talks to the readers, speaks to the assumed critics. Słowacki plays with conventions; he is in turn epical, solemn, lyrical, and ironical. Kordian: a great metaphysical and political drama, one of Słowacki's finest. The play takes place both in the historical world and the beyond with real protagonists appearing side by side with symbolic ones. The central theme is that of the failure of the November Uprising. First Kordian experiences an unhappy love, then his travels make him disappointed with contemporary Europe. On the eve of the uprising, Kordian intends to assassinate the newly crowned the king of Poland, tsar Nicholas. However, overcome by fear and imagination, he proves unable to commit this bloody act. Słowacki succeeded in creating a most interesting Romantic hero—an individualist disappointed with the world, a revolutionary implicated in a tragic conflict of values. Anhelli: conveys an unfavorable image of the emigration. Symbolically, the plot is set in Siberia. The exiles quarrel and fight with one another and are unable to come up with one idea; they degenerate morally and physically. Anhelli, a young man of pure heart, walks with a chaplain in a space suggestive of Dante's hell. He has been chosen for a sacrifice equal to that of Christ's, yet the sense of this sacrifice is unclear. He dies a lonely death and when a knight arrives to call for revolutionary action, angel Eloe does not allow to wake Anhelli up. Vivid and linguistically beautiful, the drama abounds in symbols that yield themselves to a variety of interpretations.	Beniowski: Dzieje młodego podolskiego szlachcica, konfederata barskiego, Maurycego Beniowskiego: przepił dziedziczną wioskę, opuścił dom, szukał szczęścia w świecie. Przeżył przygody miłosne, spotkał księdza Marka, bronił Baru, pojedynkował się z Sawą, jako poseł wyruszył na Krym. Przygody Beniowskiego dają poecie pretekst, na prawie luźnych skojarzeń lub w związku z tokiem akcji, do dygresji. Wzorem był tu "Don Juan" Byrona. Dygresje (ironia) służą głównie jako polemika z powszechnym rozumieniem romantyzmu i z wrogą poecie krytyką. Pozwalają manifestować wyższość nad stworzonym przez siebie światem. Kordian: Tytułowy bohater, Kordian, po rozczarowaniach do miłości, religii i mieszczańskiego społeczeństwa, postanawia walczyć o wolność ojczyzny. Na szczycie Mont Blanc odrzuca romantyczny indywidualizm na rzecz służby idei. Jego hasło, "Polska Winkelriedem narodów", wskazuje na sens czynnej walki ze złem. Kordian sięga po przywództwo, ale nie zostaje wybrany. Postanawia zatem sam zabić cara. Na progu jego sypialni pada zemdlony, bo sparaliżowały go Strach oraz Imaginacja. Przesłanie autora jest takie: pokolenie romantyczne nie dojrzało do czynu, jednostka nie może odpowiadać za ogół. Anhelli: Osoby, zdarzenia, wypowiedzi oraz samo miejsce akcji mają wymiar symbolu. Chodzi o obraz doli naerodu na wygnaniu—zesłaniu i emigracji. Słowacki ukazuje podział zgodnych początkowo emigrantów na trzy walczące obozy, co prowadzi do zagłady. Szaman, wódz i kapłan nie skłóconych jeszcze wygnańców, wybiera młodzieńca czystego serca, Anhellego. Przeznacza mu rolę ofiary na wzór ofiary Chrystusa. Nie odkrywa jednak przed nim prawdy, prowadząc Anhellego przez dantejską Syberię. Szaman ginie z rąk emigrantów, ginie też pokutnica Ellenai, towarzyszka Anhellego. On też kończy życie bez żadnej nadziei.
