This knight's shield with the 1295 White Eagle of Przemysl II is based on the 13th century original used by Henry V, Duke of Legnica, Poland (1298). The shield is made of heavy steel, with enforced edges, and steel knobs for solid construction. The hand-forged brass eagle is permanently attached to the shield front. The back of the shield is covered with lining velvet with an adjustable arm support strap. Very impressive craftsmanship.Metal parts require periodic polishing. Measures approx. 20" x 20" This is a decorative item, however, it may become a dangerous weapon if used incorrectly. Keep away from children.
