The Rzeszow region of Poland (located in the very South-East) sits on the border with Ukraine. Just across the border is Lwow (pronounced "L'voof" in English), a city which until the end of World War II belonged to Poland. Even today, half of the population of this city is Polish (just don't tell that to the Ukrainians!), and many famous Polish historical figures came from there.

The Rzeszow Folk ensemble is a famous folk group from the region. Their music is well known and beloved in the region, but to an outsider, it is an acquired taste.
