A textbook for threshold learning of Polish.The students using this book will not be starting from scratch, but rather refreshing and organizing knowledge and skills which have become forgotten, or adopting and fixing that which was not previously mastered. This textbook is also addressed to those foreigners who use Polish on a day to day basis, but did not study it formally during regular coursework.The book is divided into two parts: the grammatical which contains an easy to understand commentary, numerous examples, and various exercises; and the mosaic part the goal of which is to deepen a familiarity with vocabulary as well as to develop linguistic skills, especially the ability to write in Polish.

Korzystający z tego podręcznika uczniowie nie zaczynają od zera, ale odświeżają i porządkują zapomniane wiadomości i umiejętności albo przyswajają i ugruntowują to, czego nie opanowali w stopniu umożliwiającym naukę na poziomie średnim. To także podręcznik dla tych obcokrajowców, którzy używają języka polskiego na co dzień, ale którzy nigdy nie uczyli się go na regularnych kursach. Podręcznik składa się z dwóch części: gramatycznej, która zawiera przystępnie napisany komentarz gramatyczny, liczne przykłady i różnorodne ćwiczenia, oraz mozaikowej, której zadaniem jest pogłębianie znajomości słownictwa i rozwijanie sprawności językowych ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem umiejętności pisania.
