Built in 1902 by Jędrzej Ślimak on the Krupówki street, Villa Ślimak is a wooden pension representing the Zakopane style architechture. One of its first guests was Jan Witkiewicz. Before World War I it was Stanisław Ciszewski’s pension called "Janina". After 1918 the pension was given a name "Zośka". In the years 1923 – 1928 the pension was run by Maria Witkiewicz. After the world war II, it served as a resident flats, as well as Medical Cooperative. The house was re – privatized and in 1993 it got back the name "Ślimak". Currently, there is a restaurant "Karczma Ślimak", pub "Literatka" and a bookshop.
